Wider arches?

Have the clio 172/182s got wider arches than the standard models?

I know this might be an easy question for some but from owning vauxhalls for many years im unsure.

the sports do look a little wider but i thought it might just be because of the bumpers.

If so, is it the fronts only that are wider? Or are the rear arches wider too?

It's just the front that's wider mate. The back is exactly the same.

That's why people need to buy new front wings as well when fitting a sport bumper.

Is there a noticable difference when they are side by side?

The willy/valver had wider front arches (iirc)
the mk2 has wider front arches
the mk3 has wider front arches and wider rear quarters

...the mk4 has different bumpers.*

Thats a shame, the mk3s look lovely with their wide stance.

Yes they do lol, there was a red 197 turbo lowered with spacers at the yorkshire post office meet the other week, it looked fuck1n4 mint! It had the 225 engine running 270hp iirc

Im not sure mate, its got some sort of front bumper extension too iirc.


It looks absolutely mint imo.
