WIFI but no MSN messenger??

Got my wireless network working. No WEP but only accepts devices whose mac addreses I have typed in.

BUT, when I try to log on msn messenger it wont connnect, it then runs the msn connection trouble shooter, all is ok exept for the key ports?

Any ideas folks?

I had this when setting mine up, have you check the settings on the router?

What version are you using of MSN? Is it on your computer?

Its V7.5. What settings do I need to check on my router? Yes it in on my computer.

Check it's not got ports blocked.

yes the error code is 80048820

Have you done any port forwarding to your PC ? Or edited the allowed ports under the applications list ?

It's a dll file that isn't registered.

Do this:

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regsvr32 softpub.dll and then click OK.
Restart MSN Messenger.

Tryed this but messenger still will not work gives error code 80048820

Any other ideas folks?

Cheers Neil, proxy seeting were off on Microsolf IE, as I use firefox I did not know this.
