Wii or Kinect

Hi all, the Mrs and I want something along the lines of a Wii or Kinect, so was just wondering which is best? What have people got? Not really bothered about graphics and stuff, it's simply just for fun and give us something to do on new years day lol. I have got an Xbox 360 already, but when I have been looking, the Kinect is about £100 without games and you can get a Wii with games for about £129.

Only tried the Kinect once, but it seemed MUCH better than the Wii we have here. The Wii desperately needs an HDMI interface as when used on a screen anything above 32", it looks pixelated and generally awful. The motion detection on the Wii is average at best too - often allowing you to do well in games be simply sitting down and waving the controller in mid-air. That said, the archery-type games in Wii Sports, etc are very good indeed.
