will a faulty lamba sensor cause slight loss of power down in low revs??

  Blk/Gold 182 FF
as title rele, i know my lamba sensor is on the way out as the little emmissions light comes on for a day or two every month, been told the ;amba sensor causes this, and some times, when i plant my foot in 2nd gear at about 3,000 rpm, she seems just a lil bit slow picking up! plus normaly me and my mate who has a type r, we are just about the same but last night he seemed to pull awayfrom me when we first went for it and i was in about 3000rpm. any ideas??

thanks :)

thought so, ive had the cam and aux kits fitted with a full oil and spark plug service too, was thinkin of changing the ht leads and also the coil pack but i think i'll change the lamda sensor first seen as its the cheaper option lol its always the one on the

I had crazy power losses when my front lamda was on the way out. Would get stuck at 3-4k and gurgle and pop a bit and sometimes almost grind to a halt going uphill then all of a sudden all the power would kick back in! Made overtaking interesting lol.

get it changed for a brand new bosch or NGK. you'll reap the benefit in fuel economy.

22mm spanner to change - or grinder (to shorten it) and a socket if it's stubborn.
