Will a ph1 gearbox fit a ph2 car?

Something to do with the speedo i belive, as it comes from gearbox in the ph1's and the abs in the ph2's unless you got a retarted one like my ph2.

it will fit, the mrk2 speedo runs off the ABS unit, so you can fit the mark1 box to a mrk2 just not the otherway round.

just leave the spedo sensor in and leave it unplugged.. LEAVE IT IN THE HOLE OR IT WILL SPRAY OIL IN THE BAY

also the ratios are slightly different

Anyway, I managed to pick myself up a PH2 182 gearbox for just shy of £300 as I couldnt be arsed with f**king about with a Williams or PH1 gearbox.....................There goes the coilover fund
