i have made a air filter cover for my 172 it has an open front and has two ports on theoutside which the to air ducts sit into. will this be ok or is it better to leavce it uncovered advice please thanks.
If you have a modified air filter (cone ) you will suck in warm air from the engine , defeating the cold air idea , making a cover to avoid this and using the cold air feed (ports) will defo give you better induction than without .
here is a pic i took it in the dark so aint that good. when it is finished i am getting it polished and ingraved and replacing all black hoses with blue.
