Window problem

  RB 182
I have a problem with my window as in it won't shut, I tried to close it earlier but something broke and it doesn't go up any further now.

I've taken off the door card and found bits that have snapped off and want to know if I will be able to fix it if I can get the relevant part, below are the pictures of the broken part.

Thats one of the glass Guides Ben.

It keeps the glass in position so the regulator can move the window up/down and keeps it straight.

You should be able to buy just that part rather than a whole mechanism.

You should also be able to close the window if you move the glass square in the frame and get someone to push the switch.

Cheers Brian, I've managed to get the window shut now by gradually pulling it up. Any idea how to replace it? Is it glued onto the window?

No, it's got a pin that goes through a hole in the edge of the window to hold the plastic guide.

Mine did it just as I started a 700 mile journey :D

You should be able to shut it if you use your hand to guide it as you use the window button (if you need)

At least it's only a simple replacement from what you say.

Any idea what it might have gone? As it seemed normal until yesterday when it didn't close quite to the top.

Just from use? It's only a little bit of plastic! Driver's side will be the most used window after all ;)

Cheers pal, just hope that they have it in stock. I use it everyday to get into the car park so I need to get it sorted, it'll be a pain otherwise.
