so you've actually got the boxes in with software, thought it was months until it was released?
what so the oem version can have IE as default but the boxed product can't?
that sounds strange.
if i went for an off the shelf brands yes but your lumbered with their software. recovery systems general junk you may not want or use
my current laptop i bought without an os installed i bought xp used it for a bit then upgraded it to vista its been faultless
these systems can be better value hardware wise more tailored to you desires an can offer greater after sales support if you need it
not saying dell wont but its more personal novatech have a good reputation an are often overlooked

3rd line stuff mainly. I look after all our hosted kit in our data centre, SQL, IIS, plus stuff like looking after the SAN, F5, Checkpoint firewalls etc. We have another set of people that look after the internal IT gubbins.
We are a devleopment company so we have quite a lot of MSDN accounts, nearly all the developers have an account, but I do have my own for setting up test systems etc, comes in very useful!
