Anyone having any issues getting to Windows update??

I get a "thanks for your interest" message when i go there now, suggesting that my laptop is infact a mac. I downloaded SP3 from there last week or maybe week before, so not sure if that is anything to do with it.

Anyone else having this??

Microsoft Windows Update window.onerror = new Function('Message' ,'sURL' ,'sLine' , 'return true;') button {padding: 0px 14px 1px 14px;width: 80px;height: 21px;overflow: visible;line-height: 15px;cursor: default;} table { table-layout: fixed; } Thank you for your interest in obtaining updates from our site.

To use this site, you must be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or later.

To upgrade to the latest version of the browser, go to the Internet Explorer Downloads website.

If you prefer to use a different web browser, you can obtain updates from the Microsoft Download Center or you can stay up to date with the latest critical and security updates by using Automatic Updates. To turn on Automatic Updates:

  1. [*]Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
[*]Depending on which Control Panel view you use, Classic or Category, do one of the following:
    • Click System, and then click the Automatic Updates tab.
    • Click Performance and Maintenance, click System, and then click the Automatic Updates tab.
[*]Click the option that you want. Make sure Automatic Updates is not turned off.

Not working here, mine is just left on auto.

I don't run it on auto - because it had a habit of downloading exactly when i didn't want it to - so i just go and do it manually.

My laptop is running Win XP MCE sp3 - and yesterday was first time i had tried to do update since the sp3 update.

My desktop (which i'm on now) is running XP pro sp2 - and update works perfectly on here.

This is the message i get, it seems to think i am on a mac!!! rather than XP MCE
