windscreen vent OOPS!

i dropped a screwdriver head down the vent on the windscreen in my 182 and i dont know how to get it out, its rattling around and pissing me off!

Any ideas on how i can get it out? i have tried a magnet in a bit of sting to no luck!!

any ideas if i can take something apart to get to it.

tip the car upside down? lol no seriously i have no clue where it goes from down there. Take the dash out

had to top of the dash off but the vents are not accessable but taking the top dash off.

did not know if there was a piece of pipe i can take off down under the pedels where i can get access to it?

get one of those magnets on a telescopic aerial thing, much better than a piece of string and they come in handy for loadsa stuff! mine was 50p off a market

These things are great - much more reliable than a magnet. Helps if you can see what you want to pick up though or else it could be a long job!

what ever you do, dont take the vent out, youll never get it back in.
