Anyone know if there's a way to empty this without taking half the car apart? I tried flushing it out with the hose, as it's all dirty inside, but that's just filled it with water instead :S
Yeah that's the problem I have. It looks like black gunge, but it stinks :dead:
I would just run the pump, but I was looking for a cleaner, quicker solution, especially as I've washed the car today.
Think my old man has a long wire handled bottle wash brush from his brewing days, will give that a try tomorrow, just need to force the crap out once loose I guess.
Would it not be a better idea to put something into it; sort-of let it set a while to eat all the gunk out. Get some sort of pump or maybe a wet/dry hoover to get it out then pump clean solution through the system to ensure the pipes are clean too
That's what I'm looking into doing, I'll let you know how I get on but my washer bottle is pretty clean anyway.
Well I tried to remove it this morning, but it wasn't gonna happen. So I thought about scrubbing the gunk away with a brush, but then I thought that it might clog the pump and damage it, so I didn't. I did get the remaining fluid out of the reservoir though. I tried running the pumps for ages, but that was taking forever, so I siphoned the rest of it out, and refilled the whole thing with fresh water and Rain-X windscreen washer fluid, which actually smells quite fruity.
