windscreen with GPS cutout?

Hi, my 182 has a cutout in the windscreencoating at the base of the windscreen.
were these cars even equipped with a factory nav system?
there was a gps reciever on the dash below the cutout, but it certainly didn't look factory, and wasn't connected to anything.
But I can't imagine anybody getting a windscreen modified or something like that......

It's something to do with toll passes in France IIRC.

It also works nicely to let GPS signal in.

I've got a remote antenna for the TOMTOM and if it's not under that cutout, it struggles

Factory fit nav used a gps antenna in the roof aerial base.

It's in the middle, at the bottom...

Except for cups.

Is that the yellow-ey coloured patch at the bottom of the windscreen? i always wondered what it was :L
