is it me or do the screens on the 172 mk2 scratch easily

We had our car for 2 days before a speck of grit on the driver side wiper made a scratch the full travel of the blade ! Since then I have found a small stone chip also..
Considered taking it to Renault but felt sure that the warranty would not cover it..

i asked about my screen at dealers ,,,,no chance.yhey arev putting a new hub and 1/2 shaft on but the screen i can wistle for
