Wing Mirrors

Last year I did this to my offside wing mirror

It was just after I passed my test and I was reversing my car out of my driveway and I clipped the gate . So this was the damage.

I've never managed to get round to fixing it but I thought it was about time. What are my options.

1. Respray?
2. New wing mirror?

Or...can you buy the colour coded part on it's own? I've seen on ebay when I've been looking at wing mirrors that part comes off...

Been to the scrappy but when I went they'd had a major clear out and there were hardly any cars and absolutely no clios.

So, yeah, any advice you lot could give me would be much appreciated.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying.....

Do I resray my current one or can I buy the covers separately?? If I can't do either of those I'll have to buy a new wing mirror.

I'd just get it resprayed, unless you can find one of the same colour from the scrappers or ebay.

That's nearside btw and it's something like £45 for a new one and fitted by Renault so I would consider that tbh.

Oh, is it .

I thought offside was the passenger side and nearside was the drivers side. Oops, my bad!

Pop the cover off. Get out there with a bit of wet & dry to flat the scraped bits down etc, make sure it looks ok, prime it up & then spray it. Sorted.

Get it resprayed, if you buy a cover from Renault you would have to get it resprayerd anyway.

I've bought an aerosol can of monaco blue paint. How many coats would it need?

Couple of coats of primer, couple of the colour then a layer of lacquer.

Isn't your cars colour odysey blue though?
