Wing Mirrors

Anyone know how to remove the glass without damaging it or the mechanism?

some daft b*****d had parked on front street in a lorry where i live the other day and i tryed to sqeeze between it and a car hittin the passenger wing mirror didnt damage it but....the glass fell out still connected to its wire (the temp sensor???) so answer is mate just get sumit behind it gently and it should just go...either that or hit a lorry

lol, no lorries around. I've tried prising it off, but it's pretty tight
