[devils advocate] Keep in mind that winter tyres are not just for snow use, but for temps under 5ºC as well. And if last winter was anything to go by, that will be a lot of the time. [/devils advocate] Having said that, I don't see the point. I managed fine last year with summer tyres in a big barge. Take care and you will be fine.
Just make sure you done get tyres with V grooves in them, like Goodyear Eagle F1's, i had them on my Corsa last year, and in the snow, they just pack the grooves full of snow and are like slicks. I had an M3 over take me in the snow up a hill cause i was stuck!!
