What a pain need them off tonight to get the windscreen washer bottle out. Any other methods?

Other method.. I did manage to get them off by prying them up with a screwdriver. Another way, which I don't advise.. tapping the nut with a mallet until they bounce up. Works, but nearly threaded my bolt! This tools brill, used it last night.

The way I do it is take the nuts off, then put them back on a few threads.

Close the bonnet, wack the wiper arms by the spindle with a rubber mallet. Works them free eventually. Then just wiggle them until they come loose
