right....... got a wireless hub and want to connect my pc upstairs to it, aswel as my main pc, what do i need??

The one's 63/500 posted would do, or you can get some USB instead to make them easier to plug in and unplug.

Yeah I can't see why not, not sure how they compare to adapters you have to fit onto the motherboard though.

You get what you pay for. In my opinion and if you check some of the reviews on websites such as ebuyer and dabs.com, you may see that people don't reckon much to the cheaper usb type adaptors.

i.e they sometimes have low reception if your using some kit downstairs wirelessly connected to kit upstairs.

I have a Netgear W111 usb adaptor, and the reception is great.

You can get these off ebay for about £18. I got mine from currys for £30 and it was worth it. No problems.

They simply plug in the back/front of your pc. Saves fiddling about screwing the internal ones into a PCI slot on your motherboard.

Good luck.

ive just seen some netgear ones with poor reviews too??! arghhhhhhh i dont know which one to get!! :S:S

The internal ones which fit on the motherboard usually have an aerial - better reception.

If you're not all fingers and thumbs, they're easy enough to fit. Just earth yourself first before touching any of the components inside the pc.

That's prob why people say get a USB one!

Buy one, try it, if not happy - take it back. I did.

think i will just get one and see wot happens, is there any way i can u my ethernet cable still?, i only want wireless for my laptop

Ah, if it's a laptop then you won't be able to buy an adapter for the motherboard, so you're best off getting a decent USB one.

You can still use ethernet, you just need an adapter which accepts it and the wire to connect to the hub.
