Wireless printing?

  Civic Vtec y0
Is there such a thing...

What I want to do is be able to print with out having to take the laptop thru to the other room and hook it up to the printer if you know what I mean?

So is there a wireless device that you plug into the laptop and printer to allow this? I have tried searching but dont know what it would be called lol

Any help?

I have my printer connected via my wireless network, however it is connected to the main pc which must be on to use it. But you can buy printers that have a network connection on them.
If yours is a usb printer then you should be able to plug a wireless usb adapter into it and connect to it that way.

You can get wireless printer router's. I run my printer off a Mac airport extreme so all PC's linked to the network can print even though not physically connected to the printer.

two main options.*

1) purchase wireless printer
2) through wireless network, print off printer which is attached to other machine, printer must be shared.*

  1 Series Coupe
Share the printer over the wireless network. Computer the printer is hooked up to has to be on to enable you to print from your laptop.

Airport express does what you want.

1) Plug it in.
2) Enter in your wireless network details
3) Plug printer into it.
4) Print.

It also has audio out so that you can stream music to it from iTunes.

Haven't Lexmark just released a wireless printer? Do a quick search and you'll find quite a few.

As for the laptop side, you can get a USB wireless card, not very expensive, and pretty easy to set up.

or a linksys wps54g wireless print server connect your usb printer to the wps and the wps connects to your wifi network

check if your printer is compatible because not all printers will work with this device

get a wireless print server, it's the only way. Make sure it's a USB one too, i've seen them still on sale for paralell printers (annoyingly dirt cheap).....although they may have been LAN cable ones.
