Go into the admin settings and select a different channel number. you might be getting interference from other electrical items in the house/nearby even a desk lamp if switched on next to it will interfere. Try not to put it next to the monitor or too close to the wall (sometimes can't be helped)

If its the new N rated hub you need an N rated wireless card to take advantage.

Also try changing the channel on your wireless...

If that doesnt help I'll try to think of something else...

I have been through lots of hubs and was also one of the beta testers for BT Broadband. I work for BT ;)

Ha!

Seems to be alot of problems with homehubs, they are s**te

I admit the first gen ones had crap wireless etc!

The second gen black ones were ok... still crap wireless...

Then they had the square white ones... ok... better built IMO...

Now they have the Black N rated... which I believe is great! Still, you need N rated wireless cards on your laptop / pc etc to take advantage!

I'm a Fibre Access Network Planner - I design Fibre circuits for our business customers. I designed one which had a yearly rental of 23million. I love the job!

I am also involved in New Ideas and Technologies. I participate in discussions and also put ideas forward on new technologies and how to incorporate these to help the disabled etc.

One of them for example, called BT Balance, which you will all hear about, is a USB dongle that you can attch to any device (PDA, Laptop etc) and it makes it motion sensitive. You can read an on screen book and turn the pages by flicking the device. An idea I put forward for this technology was to make it work with the PSP... seeing as the PSP is like a PDA and is already mass market.

Oh, then I went on to say make the dongle Bluetooth enabled with a built in battery, so it can be attached to a disabled paralyzed persons head so they can still control a PC by simply moving their head around!

All interesting stuff! You'll be surprised at how BT is so much more than just a telecoms company!

edit: I also work part-time in an electrical department of an office supplies store... (Staples!)

I am a very busy crazy insomniac!
