I know it used to be important to run power direct from the battery to an amp.
Is that still the case ?
In my current Clio there wasn't anywhere simple to get a cable through from the engine bay to the passenger cabin.

Any advice for a 182 please ?

There should be a connection on your amp call REM or summat similar. And a blue wire coming out of you ISO block behind the head unit.
Part of your amp wiring kit should have been a length of thin blue wire, this is the remote wire and needs to go inbetween the two (more running under the carpet unfortunately!).

This then makes the head unit switch the amplifier on remotely everytime you power up the head unit.

Hope this helps
cheers
James.
