Wiring horn.

Hi guys ive got my self an oreca steering wheel and oreca boss . Ive been reading somwer that if i connect the horn up it will start a fire lol ! This leaves me nervous as i want the horn working like
It should . Is this with just the momo boss? Ive seen that in some cases its as easy as connectin the two wires in the grey connector ? I seen also people wire up a phase 1 indicator stalk but i dont want to do that as then il have a pointless horn peice in the
Middle which i payed 5.00 for .

It's not as bad as it sounds bud! Just make sure the wires are properly covered when the horn is wired up. (Use some shrink wrap) Depending on which horn push you have (If its anything like my OMP push) do not wire the centre as live, as this will short on the steering wheel.

I have just put an aftermarket wheel on mine, using these guides. It is really straight forward, just take your time & don't rush it.

thanks for the guides mate . can you tell me where the resistors go ? i see two air bag plug ? do i use one resistor or one resistor in each plug or i am completley wrong lol ?

Yeah you need two resistors, one for each air bag plug. The resistors you need from Maplin are the 3.3ohm ones (Worked for me) The Maplin product code is M3R3, they are 24p each.

Okay mate . You know you said dont wire the centre comnection as it would short .? Where do i put the live on the other connector ?

Yeah, just like in this pic...

Red is live, if you have that triangular bit sticking out on your horn push like in the pic & mine, if you wire it as centre live that triangular bit will short on the steering wheel.
