Workshop manual on CD, from who?

I've just recieved from E Bay a set (3) CD's for the Renault range, guess what? they don't work!, can any one recomend where I can buy these?, is it possible?, are they all scams, commited by low life scum?.

My old man had a set of these disks (not from ebay though) from a couple of years back.. i'm sure he had a little problem using them to begin with, but they worked after a fiddle..
I'll try to remember to ask him when i see him.

Then again it could just be yet another ebay scam!...
If it's not.. fancy doing me a "backup" ;-)

If its the bentley manual disks for the clio they are a nightmare to get working as there need the correct platform

If its the Dialogy cds, you need to reinstall Quicktime (from the cd) but make sure you select JAVA something or other in the custom options.

Yeah you need a certain version of java, adobe acrobat and quicktime for it to work, it doesnt work on my pc but works on my girlfriends with windows ME if i change screen to 640/480 in 16bit colour.

Try this old forum link, it works for me last time when I install. But mine is not working now??? I got a new set from Ebay which included 2003 model. Not sure if that is same or different with what I had installed.

Impressed ! but how did you manage to install Quicktime and acrobat etc onto the DVD when they need registry entries and DLL's in the system32 folder. Does the DVD work on a computer thats just had a fresh install of XP.

Thats a great Idea, if someone has about 2gb of webspace I can upload them. Failing that they are available for download on emule, just search for dialogys - there should be 3 cds, possibly 4 if it includes the training disk.

I've tried the set up disc on other pc's, won't install, you can hear it spin up then slow down rapidly, is the set up disc f**ked ?.
The seller, insists that the disc's are good, in spite of possible neg' feed back,
Please some one get it on the forum, I'll chip in with some cash if needs be !

it would be superb to have access to the part numbers on this site. If it could be done.
Id certainly pay something towards the cost to have that feature on here, especially with upto date discs with latest cars on..

Noone will legally allow it to be linked from the forum as the software is copyrighted by Reenault so if you do have a copy then its against the legal copyright laws.
By posting links to the software on here Cliosport could be deemed as promoting the use of illgel software and be held resonsible for not taking appropriate action.
When I find the screen dump photes and guide on how to use it I'll print a full guide until then I've posted the writted word here.

take it renault UK would not allow us to use it being such a large Renault online group?

I've spoken to Renault UK on this matter and the answers no. They seem accepting of us to post information gleaned from these sources as some of us have acces to legal copies but they won't allow us to post documents from the system.

I feel gratful that Renault are willing to allow us to do this much Skoda have reciently had employees telling people about fixes (no technical info released though) and they had words with the employees involved and asked them to refrane from doing this as it was against there term and conditions of employment.

Renault are obviously a bit cagy about talking about there cars technical notes as an people can precieve information the wrong way which would lead to a negitive PR for the comapany where as Skoda would have this problem but there owners are left in the dark.

I feel as long as I have the appropriate notice at the top of posts saying the software is illegal and copyright and that all info is for dealer use only then it is an appropriate. Renault would accept that this information is (relitively) freely availiable due to an unfortunate circumstances. So they have to do there best.

got dialogys to work on my pc running windows xp but had to remove acrobat reader, java runtime, Quicktime first and reinstall theversion on the set up disc .When installing quicktime follow instructions until u get to installation type window and u must select custom and then select all continue install. install them acrobat, java and quick time last
