I must get my dephaser done as its so so bad (Ask Stevo-C) and i know that i will need to do the list below but is it worth doing my water pump as all the belts will be off anyway. I will also be getting a coolant flush due to fitting forge hoses.

T/belt kit
End Caps
Aux Belt Kit
Water Pump ??
and full service

Water pump is on the aux belt so if its not leaking i wouldn't bother with it.

Water pump failures are apparently rare on the F4R but if the belts are all off, you're aswell doing it tbh!

Im told that its a metal propelled water pump and not plastic which does give me some confidence in it but im just thinking that since its all ripped out and the coolant is drained it might be worth undoing the 2/4 bolts that hold it on and just change it.

I'd say get it done, I had mine changed when it had the belts done. Its a simple job to do while its all stripped down so why not

Change It Marc Best get it all swopped at the same time I did with mine .

The bearing in mine went which caused it sound like a shagged dephaser.
May aswell do it or you get a couple of hours labour charge extra if it does fail

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
about 1 in 100 are a problem before 100k. I advise against changing them as I've seen more new pumps cause issues than old ones.

I think i've only ever had to change 6 from necessity, and half of those were not the original
