Tried to take the OH back to the zoo today. They don't do refunds as I didn't have the receipt.

So instead I took my godawful Tamron 70-300 PoS lens as my brother's OH has my walkabout and my 50mm, bunged it on the 7 and shot some endangered things.

Not massively happy with the photos. These are the best of a bad bunch IMO.

Some light cropping and some mild adjustments to temp/contrast etc.

The more I look at them, the more I am convincing myself I really don't need to throw a grand or two out the window to get some decent glass... I've used the zoom about 3 or 4 times in the last 2 years.

When I have a canoe that is capable of holding water It's currently in a very expensive sandwiched, tucked up between a DB9 and a Gallardo. FML.

Do you mean the 75-300? 70-300 usm is a great lens for the price.

Love the bokeh shot of the panda and the chimp!

Edit. I see it's the macro kit lens version not the usd but great shots all the same.
