Would like some advice please

  V6 255 (Illiad Blue)
Hello

Ive had my 172 for just over 5 years now, Ive had very little go wrong with it. Its a standard car with exception of a custom Stainless exhaust system. Ever since i saw a photo of the phase 2 V6 i knew one day id get one and Im feeling this is the year to take the plunge. :)

To phase 2 owners I want some honest thoughts on your experience with living with it. I know its un practical, i knew its thirsty and i know the insurance is sky high but If im ever gonna own one, its this year before the patter of small feet appear in the house.

Whats it like to live with ?

All the best

I've not actually got one but from similar threads i have read it seems that they are not actually that bad on fuel and generally not that expensive to insure either depending on your age.

I'm sure Ali will be along soon to discuss the finer details of how its the best car of all time and a "super" car.

On a serious note try v6.net - more specific advice for you I would imagine.

i drive all sorts through work (driving instructor for driversdreamdays)

Murcielagos, Gallardos, AMV8's, DB9's, Porkers, TVR's, Caterhams etc etc

they all give you that "special" feeling, and so does the V6!

as a car its not the best, and takes a good 6months to really get use to it and learn what its all about, as a package its immense!

fantastic motorway cruiser, great A road machine

there's plenty available that are better than the V6, but i gaurentee non have the pose factor/specialness to match it

This cars is all about looks IMO and it is a stunning car just a shame it doesn't have the power to match. My best mate had one for 6 months and swapped it in for a trophy which he said felt as quick if not quicker than the v6. And used half as much fuel
