Wow. Insurers sure knows how to fleace you!!!

Just discovered that you can pay back your insurers for any claim that was made on your policy meaning you can reuse any NCD you had or would've had. It doesn't remove the claim from your record, but the insurers then change it from "at fault" to "not at fault"

Going to fill out some quotes and see what a difference it makes.

I wonder if you can get rid of a 46 in a 30 conviction if you drive at 14 in a 30 for a few days:)

Ok... That's a little fucked up.

CTR comes in at 2.1k with an at fault claim, 1 NCD, both parents and a speeding conviction.

With a not at fault claim and £0 cost it takes it up to 2.4k........

And taking the claim off all together takes it down to 1.8k

Will see if Provident can take it off all together before wasting time doing any more quotes.

My claim was actually against 2 Clios (I shunted one into the other, suprisingly I wasn't driving the company Cup).

Fair damage to the first one's rear (1.2), and no damage to the 182 in front (reg ended in APV, sorry if it was anyone on here but it sounds like you were more than catered for!!!)

£1500 for damage to the 1.2, and the same again for the 182...

What the f**k could possibly cost £1500 from the slightest of bumps to the rear ?? He said on the day he thought his boot wasn't closing right (bullshit) and that if he didn't have to repair he wouldn't claim (well thanks....).

Either way, paying it off only brings DCI insurance down £50 and CTR insurance £300.
