Once a car has been writen off what happens with the insurance? Do you just get a new car and change it over? Or is that then the end of the insurance, and you need to start again?

You cary on till the end of the year paying the same amount if you get the same car (I think) then when you try and renew they screw you

Thats what i thought, but the letter they sent me indicates otherwise. Saying my insurance is now terminated, and if i pay monthley they will be taking the rest of the money out of what they will pay me out.

Once youve a totaled claim on a car then thats it for insurance you have to pay up to the end of the year fora care which doesnt exist as such. They wont cover for on another car unless you pay for a new policy.

in the small print of my insurance after a claim they increase your existing insurance.

So what i paid for a year has turned out to be 4months insurance?
