WTF Is This For (Part No)

When i was trying to repair my temp sensor i got the one below. However, its blantantly not the correct part for my clio but what car is it actually for?

77 00 773 858

most of the temp sensors i have changed have all looked the same u33db.whats the difference or post a pic.

That part is for a 172

77 00 822 167 SENSOR 60.00 ---3 x 1
is for a clio 16V

The 2 sensors are differnt yes.

Cheers folks, i will post a pic once my camera phone arrives tomorrow!

Emm...i think the difference is as follows; on the clio 16v, the sensor is attached to a small cable and plug to be inserted into a loom socket in the door but this one appears to have enough cable to run alll the way from its location, through the door, right accross to the dashboard itself. Bit weird!

At least ive identified it now - might post it up for sale as its clearly no use to me.

They bolt up differently correct?

we always just cut and solder the wires anyway.we take the mirror back off and solder the wires behind there.
