X cote - anyone heard of it?

As above, anyone come across it before?

A detailer nearby uses it and I've seen lots of his and results they look really good. But sounds a bit of a cheat product like a permanent glaze or something?

@Gally

I've seen lots of Chinese companies advertising this stuff. Can't quite work out why you'd need to also apply a self levelling ceramic coat on top.

I can see it going horribly wrong, but intrigued to try it all the same.

@Danith where did your guy get it from?

No idea I've not taken the car to him, I did use him on the Skoda though. Was going to take the Golf over to him but seen that he now states he's an 'X cote authorised' dealer so I had 2nd thoughts as never heard of it.

Reads as though it's an actual paint that you apply by hand, you can then ceramic coat on top.

Never heard of it but it sounds like it could go wrong quite easily.

Yeah sounds a bit funky. One Google suggests it might be all good when applied but then peels off a few years later. How they'd know that I'm not sure at this early stage.
Will stick with my das 6 and fusso kog
