think i have found i way. i bought my years subscription a year ago after my three months trial, i set it up as a direct debit, so it would charge me every 12months. but that card had expired now(a year later) and xbox has been trying to charge me through it, i recieved two emails from them. i have now just checked my account and it says expires 2008. so i think it has fooled the system as i havent been charged.

I did that, took them 4 months before they stopped me connecting.

yeah they did that with me after 3 months or so, then said i would lose all my achievements etc if i didnt pay using another card, was annoyed as i didnt have the right card eg. visa and had to use my mums!

also when it was due to expire i spoke to the thick american helpdesk and said i wanted to revert to silver and not pay for another 12 months right at that moment in time and he was like "oh yeah thats fine", obviously didnt understand what i wanted to do as 3 months on they threatened with disconnecting me etc, lesson learnt though e.g dont use your card with them, use a pre-paid card then they cant force you to renew you membership and you can revert to silver and retain your achievements etc.

very annoyed cos if i wanted to play on another console and not renew my membership and come back to the 360 after it had expired i would lose all my achievements
