xbox repairs

anyone else had an xbox break have it sent away on repair,then get it back and it doesnt work at all now?and the 1 sent back is "brand new"
have rang tonight and they said they will get a claims manager to speak to me as "microsoft find this unacceptable to happen twice and will sort you out with compensation,maybe a free game,etc"
anyone else had this problem and what did you get?

My mate sent his back because of the RRoD and now the drive wont shut and wont recognise a game. Hes going to ring them tomorow and see what they say!

I'm just wondering how long people who have had their xbox away to repair have been waiting? Mine was picked up 2 weeks yesterday, Fro mwhat I've read most get them back faster than the stated MS time, I miss mine so much :'(

yep i was told 25 working days,took 10 working days to be back,but has got to go back again now

I rang up Microsoft on Saturday and they said do I want them to email me some postage labels, or mail them, I said E-Mail em but aint had em yet.

Don't know if I can be arsed with the hastle tbh.

The hold music is a load of old arse.

Last time i rang up i was on hold for 25 mins, then as soon as i got through to someone it just went dead. rang back and was waitin another 20 mins and put through to someone i couldn't even understand..

It's an arse ache for somethin that I don't use that often anymore.

Any box would do I'd have thought - you might wanna put something in with it to stop it moving about though, if the box is too big

I ended up putting it in a shoebox as all the other boxes in my house were MASSIVE!

Will the fact its got logos all over be a problem?!?

Brilliant, so after phoning xbox the other day, who told me to ring UPS directly and they will print the delivery labels out and come and pick it up, I rang UPS and gave them my reference number and he said the details were with him and that someone would be round to pick it up that night, or the next day.

Ive heard f**k all. No sod has called me or been round. Great service. Pissed off.
