Xenon headlights

Just wondering i got a Clio cup but noticed the headlights aint xenons are they suppose to be xenon headlights or didnt the cup come with these headlights if not where can i get a pair from cheers.

Cups dont have xenons, its a 'weight saving' measure!

the clio cup hasnt got zenon headlights, its got the standard ones, they are lighter i believe, there is a pair of zenons on e-bay, hope this helps

well i didnt know that i aint sure if im guna get a pair now if the ones i got are lighter and a weight saver.

Iv got a mk2 ph2 1.2 dynamic, so i don't have the Xenon's, is it plug n play putting the Xenon units in, or is there faffing around to be done?

no i dont think im guna bother putting the weight back on just guna spend the money on something worth while thanks for the help peeps.

Plug and play, straight swap.

The xenon headlights are a fair bit heavier than the normal halogens, they're worth it though :evil:.

Indeed, if I bought a cup it would be one thing I would consider changing. After driving with the xenon's I hate driving cars without, everything just looks yellow and dull.

well its not 2 bad without the xenons iv got phillips extra bright blue bulbs they look white wen ur drivin but i really want xenons but people say dont get them cuz of weight but i dont know wat to do and where to find some

I'd say it was as much to do with saving money as saving weight . I'd hate to lose the xenons though . If you can get some at a good price go for it .

I have xenons on my 182, and to be honest I dont rate them at all.. You cannot adjust them (no dial on the dash) and they point to far down and dont light the road enough... Better off without them..

^^^ They are self levelling mate . Have you lowered your car ??

They can be adjusted manually inside the engine bay . You have to switch the ignition on then adjust them with the white allen screws .

My car has been lowered, but before then there were not that great... Thanks for the tip, with give that a try

^^^ That might be why then , they will be aiming too low . I love the xenons on my 182 , my 172's xenons were fine as well both on standard suspension .

Yeah if you lower the car the rear beam thinks it's got a load of weight in the boot so dips the headlights accordingly.

More like it mate, weight is fookall different! Iv a cup and put a set on, looks much better i think, and night driving is improved loads!

Leave em mate. I had a cup with uprated osram bulbs and they were perfect. Had the 182 for 7 months, and imo xemons are WELL overrated. Granted they look better, but offer no upgrade in available light. The projectors scatter the beam all over the shop. Also, does everone on this forum just drive about on dipped beam? The main beam is the same on both light clusters.

I rarely have any need for main beam, the xenon's are that good!
