XVID on xbox360?

  Rav4
Hi,

Has anyone achieved this correctly, did google and check on here.

Basically the xbox360 is a media extender from the media PC.

I would be interested to hear your solutions and how you went about it.?

both work ?

Can you tell me how you set it up on your media PC?

OS on the media PC is Vista Ultimate. That could be were the issue is.

I'm running XP still so I can't help on Vista.

Basically with transcode it buffers the film before you start watching it and converts it from DivX to wma (I think) on the fly. Theres a slight pause at the beginning of a film when you press play and then it plays as normal.

Tversity was very hit and miss for me. It worked in the end, but recently decided to stop working when I moved house! I've updated it but it's still not working. I need to poke around some more.

When it works it's spot on, getting it to work isn't so easy though.

I run it under XP Pro at home.

It works in the same way as Transcode.

After struggling to get Transcode360 or Tversity to do a good job (The proper 720p stuff was shocking) I decided to stick media center on my pc

I convert videos with Videora, and then just stream them to the media center extender, perfect  I just can't see many people getting the great HD quality without pre-converting the files

All i've got to do now is get one of these WMV-HD converters working, so I can get full 5.1 surround on all videos. Trying Encode360 first I think :D
