Yellowstuffs knackered - how long do DS2500s last on average?

  GSXR + KDX220
Well after only 7000miles including 2 track days, my EBC Yellowstuffs are down to feck all, didnt even realise and didnt expect it so soon.
Took the wheels off to change the front shocks today and looked down to find about 1.5mm of pad left on all 4 :S

Will most likely get some DS2500's, but a question looms, how long are these likely to last? I dont want to spend £130 for them to be the same after similar miles, or less

Chris i have a set of almost new DS2500's in my garage i was going to keep as spares, but make me an offer i can't refuse and they are yours :) My new car came with almost new ones on.

As Danny saidfella. DS2500's lasted ages on my Clio which did a few track days, a 'ring trip and the daily commute.

Not sure if the DS2500's will provide as good a stopping power though.

Do you do much track, or is it mainly normal road use?

Cheers Danny, gonna go with some off Lewis!

Stava, its mostly road use with a track day here and there. From the cars I've been passenger in running DS2500s, they felt stronger than yellowstuffs tbh!

Ive got ds2500's and rate them very highly. 3 trackdays and 10k or so miles. One of the guys at oulton on friday was using ebc bluestuff and he absolutley loved them, not sure how much they are in comparison though.

Well, pads changed for DS2500's (cheers Lewis) yesterday and so far very pleased with the performance. So much more bite and stopping power (IMO) than the Yellowstuffs, especially from stone cold :)

i wouldn't waste my time using ebc pads as paper weights let alone brake pads. ds 2500 are a good pad same as the minutes range 1155 ,1166 . just with these race pads make sure you bed them in right or they will be useless.
