Update

Picking the engine up on a week Wednesday (well when my f**king cams and springs turn up from CAT)

Engine builders called today

Crank is marked in several places but he thinks it will polish/slight grind out and still leave me 2 thou on the bearings.

The stem seals are "ruined" so it needs a full head rebuild too

It needs decking to bring the clearance up

But bar that its all good! He needs to work out the ring gaps today too (any thoughts) But should be good to collect on a week Wednesday! I just need to paint it then and fit!

Fingers crossed my cams turn up!

oh and ACL bearings always seem to measure up thinner than they quote, so i'd be very suprised if you have a 2thou on a std journal, especially if its going to need a micro-polish.

as for ring end gaps, Total Seal might be the best people to ask
