Yey or ney--Head Unit vs BMC

right happy chappys have the choice to buy a new Head Uniit or a BMC for my CUP, i already have a ITG panel, so is it worth the jump?

what wold u do

head unit will bring the best gains of the two

cda causes problems on the f4r (well more in depth than that, but it doesnt give good gains) whereas the renault head unit is dire and in all honesty, any aftermarket unit is better than it

my bro bought this head unit other day and i was surprised @ how nice it was. was a lovly bit of kit. really nice finish. looks similer to the jvc but i would imagen a lot better.

Id get the BMC. Sort out a decent cold air feed to it and there are no problems what so ever.

exactly people keep saying how good the sound quality is with all these head units but most people who have head units which play mp3 listen to mps and the sound quality is far lower sampling rate than a cd and they never complain about that. so in the end all the top name cd/mps player are all gonna be more than good enough for the normal person.

bsimmer - i dont put anything less than 256kbps onto a cd, as its quite an obvious difference in sound between that and 128/192kbps

when you stick a 320kpbs cd into a low end unit, a mid range unit then a top of the range unit, you really can tell the difference

@ 128/192kbps you wont notice much difference on recorded cds, on purchased cds you will

get the old skool looking pioneer DEHP-77MP it looks the absolute business (no flashy sh*t) and is made from real metal, and has the same internals as the 9600R pioneer, including 6v pre outs! it rocks!
