Nice one craggy for getting under the 15 mark. That VTS REALLY flies!!!! well impressive.

It goes to show what experienced/good drivers can do up the strip/off the lights in capable motors! good work!

Bloody hell those times are all very low. you sure the timing equipment was spot on...... lol.

Really pleased to see Craggys VTS putting in a 14.9 after a couple of runs against it in the Willy midweek which were pretty much neck and neck. Pity I cant do good launches really!

And Jons doing 14.6! Incredible.

Considering Id never done this kind of thing before, I am very happy!!!

My best was 15.195 @ 89.59mph




But Id left the back seats in & stuff, plus had jackets, umbrellas, etc... in the car, so next time Im emptying the thing like Craggy, Paddy & many others did...



My mate was there in his 306 Rallye too (black one) and had pulled the back seats out, was in the high 14s at 90 odd mph, so seems the 306 is just as quick!

JESUS CHRIST LADS! Did hurricane Hugo come past just after I left or something. Cause them times have dropped a bit. sh*t hot though. Have you got that Cup and the V6 times the wrong way round. Cause that V6 did a 14.4, and thats a bit of a bloody unbelievable time for a Cup, to say the least. Great day out though. Apart from the unorganisation. Will make sure I bring my bloody license next time. LIVID about that.

Well up for Elvington next week though, for some duals!

Tim Os cup has the r-sport ecu,etc, but is Charlie Cups cup standard? And what about the other cars today - with the exception of the v6, they all appear to have got really decent times, so have they all been modded?

2 lives was a bullet standard, now has only breathing mods, adis is a cammed, headworked 2.0 16v conversion with breathing mods also.

charlie cupis standard with 1800miles. most had removed rear seats, paddys is one of the faster 172s and vts has de-cat and induction kit(i raced a vts twice with more mods than me and left it twice)

My Rallye is basically factory standard, apart from a panel filter, thats it...

Also this is my first time doing 1/4 mile runs and I only got 6 in all day, so I was more than impressed. Before I went Id have been happy with anything under 16secs, but now I am wanting a time in the 14s!

Was also running "fully laden" with a car full of stuff, yet I was only like 0.1secs off Charlies Cup and he was pumping octane booster in like it was going out of fashion!



So who was it saying 306 Rallyes were slow before?!

That black Rallye, got 14.982secs, not sure one speed, but was deffo in the 90s but will ask him to confirm.

He had his rear seats out though, hence quicker than me.

hey guys, i never went after all, not that the 1.2 wud have been on the strip.........but my mate went in his V-TEC civic, black wi Mongoose exhaust n yorkshirecruise.com stickers! he said there were a few clios flying about, and that those 172s are QUICK........so i said, number plate like P44DYS???? YEAH he said lol.......black vts wi number plate like C12AGY???? YEAH he said lol!!! he had a trophy for winning his 1600cc class!!! Maybe some of u guys will know who i mean? cheers all, Rob.......Im defo off next time to see these things go!!!
