  Lupo GTI
Hi,

I currently drive a Lupo GTI but i am looking for something that is faster and equally well as handling. So that leads me to my first question - will a Clio 172/182 handle as well (standard) as my Lupo GTI does on kw coilovers?

I have pretty much ruled out a cup version of the clio as i want xenons and air con that i have in my Lupo.

I also want to know what colours they did the 182 in?

And also, honestly, what the build quality is like when its done a fair few miles.

Also any other information would be brilliant! Sorry for all the questions.

182 came in black, silver, two blues also there were the expensive yellow and petrol blue (its green though) colours but the green is very rare.

I'd say the Lupo you hve now is better but its difficult to prove depends what you want the Lupi is a superb car and the KW are superb suspension manurfactuer.

Build qulaity is fine you get good and bad ones. Bue there nothing hugly worng with them.

i dont think the build quality will ever match the Lupo, my mate has a silver lupo gti which i have driven a couple of times and it shocks me how well the are put together

The spec is as good, the performance will be better really, especially straight line stuff, won't be much in the handling but alas its french. If the french designed the cars then sent the design off to the germans to build, the world would be a better place.

wack up some pics of the gti! think they are awesome little cars!

i havent got a sport, but quality on mine is fairly good i think, the usual rattle from the sunroof but apart from that its pretty solid!

but in all honesty it will be nowhere near the lupo

I love the Lupo GTI. Looks the b****cks, just slightly weedy engine. Have you considered a 1.8T conversion?

Hmmm now i am really confused. Maybe i am taking the build quility of the Lupo for granted? Yes its "german" but it doesnt have much trim that could rattle really.

I am really pleased with the car but i crave more acceleration.

Oh and a 1.8T conversion from a company will cost in the region of 8-10k!!

Aren't there any cheaper mods (8k for a turbo conversion -ouch !) you could get done to the engine of the lupo ??
It looks cracking, i'd keep it tbh.

That lupo is fuckin stunnin.

I have drove my mates a few times, hers is low on fk coilovers and i cannot get over how well it is built. It is so solid and no rattles whatsoever and it is down low!

I think the renault are built not as bad as you may think but still not upto the VW quality. But it is without a doubt faster and I would say standard for standard it would deffinately out handle the loop.

But still, lupo gti's are very nice cars :p

I put my name down for a lupo gti untill a chance decision came to buy my 172, ive never looked back since!! i think renault have got it sorted with there sport models!

that car looks awesome mate and is very fare defo keep it mate i dont think there is much in it in performance though prob top end the clio would exceed but dont forget vw build quality is fare superior every panel with rattle in the clio for sure lol
