youtube app on mobile phone

I have the youtube app on my phone, I like listening to music on there, but if I lock my phone it stops playing, does anyone know how to get around this? I have a Samsung A3

Why not use an actual music app? Spotify or the like?

I work 12 hour shifts and have music on pritty much the hole shift, i used spotify and apple music and dezzer ect ect as payed membership, but i found myself listening to the same stuff just in differant playlists, wanted to try something else

It's one of the more hated features of YouTube, they do it to stop people just using the app for music when they should be watching adverts.
