Ey up! I’m running a Ripspeed DV740 and it doesn’t seem to like aux inputs at all, or phone inputs via the USB port.
At best I get silence through my phone and “unsupported device”, so it’s making an attempt to play music and work. Is this a case of my iPhone being too modern for the headunit to support it? The headunit itself is modern-ish (~2014?) enough to have been around for lightning connection iPhones as far as I know.
It will, however, accept my 128gb DJ USB sufficiently to the point of it reading and playing uncompressed FLAC files, which is concurrently confusing and actually really impressive.
Any way I can either get my phone (iPhone 12) to work with it, or get the headunit able to actually interface with my phone?
I know this is an obscure headunit and an awkward issue, but my CD collection is beginning to run thin and I’ve emptied every music store in Bournemouth of bassline/garage CDs. I’d quite like to hook my phone up now.
Cheers!
