Hi guys, can any1 help me choosing a new exhaust. Not really the style but the brand. The thing is, unlike most, im not bothered about it being really loud. In fact id prefer a different noise...but not one that will wake every1 on my street up. Ive heard magnex arent crazily loud. Im just lookin for performance and looks without something that will gimme a headache down the motorways. Any help is much appreciated. Cheers.

hey i have 2 mates wiv clios , they are both 1.2 16s but they have remus, sounds very nice and there are quite a few nice designs, thye got theres from elite aswell , good luck

Depends. Surely if you have any full decat exhaust it will be loud, and if you have just a backbox, it will be not so loud? Or can there be a big difference in sound from just a backbox?

Ive heard just a backbox can make a massive difference. I dont want it decat either...i need it to pass MOT emissions without having to change it every time

there can be a very large difference mate the ktec loud one is much louder than standard but the magnex isnt as loud

then things get silly with a decat

remus back box is almost quiter than original you need to remove center section to get a decent sound

Powerflow, then you can say you dont want it silly loud.. and it wont be.

I aint being a pussy i just dont like noise makers...my engine makes enough noise with my induction kit. Supersprint eh....ill look into it

if we are talking a bomb going off and comparing mine to that then yes mine is quieter lol

as for gains who knows its off on the rr next month

Magnex are louder than standard but not Nova loud if you get my drift. Just a nice rumble.

Im kinda in the same boat, and was looking at Remus too, as I have heard they are pretty quiet. What tail pipe styles are available for the 172 from Remus, as I want twin round style?.

I have had a magnex zorst in the past, and loved it. not too loud or boomy - just right, with a nice burble on idle. That would be my only other choice (or mongoose)
