    Rear braided lines need fitting

Well i fitted front and rear to mine. The peddle is a bit stiffer; can I tell the difference? No. No doubt they are doing something but I don't go on track and the time when I've driven it hard the brakes do there job well. Bleeding is easy as well. Just get some one to press the peddle...

    Rear braided lines need fitting

They are a piece of p*** to do. You only need to jack up the passenger side of the car to do it. It will take literally 10 minutes to do. If you not confident with the spanners though then let some one else give it a go. If you watch them do it you will see just how easy it is.

36K service South Yorks plus extended warranty

If i was you i would take it to RS Tuning in Leeds. You get the stamp in the book and from somebody who has a good reputation amoungst the Renault sport community. Don't think it will be much.

    Engine management light

Check the connector that goes to the charcoal filter in the drivers side front wing. Mine had come lose and caused the engine light to come on.

    Feedback Required

Very good site. I like that fact that you have broken it down into nice neat sections. My only recommendations would be to perhaps have some more photos on there; maybe showing various setups (different coilover units, brakes packages, etc). An article on tyres would be good. Not just Track...

    What tyres (not exalto's)

there isn't anything for that price that will be just as good as the michelins. Contisport contact 2 or goodyear eagle f1 GSD 3. Remeber its the only part in contact with the road; don't skimp on them

Load valve compensator spring and rod (rear brakes)

Could anybod give me a rough idea of how much a load valve compensator spring and rod are from Renault. Its to adjust how much brake pressure is applied to the rear. Mine is missing it. It's for a 172 Cup if there is any difference between models (i doubt it though). Part numbers would be a big...

    Yozza or K-Tec Stealth

No. It is when you are just pootling around but when it gets to about 3000rpm it is quite loud. when you drive it hard it sounds lovely, its very addictive. It's very well made though and you don't need to get anything else to fit it. It comes with all the clamps, hangers and cat to middle...

    Yozza or K-Tec Stealth

I've just had a K-tec stealth fitted to my 172 cup and the only stealthy thing about it is that it is hidden from view! But it sounds good......

Removing the Acoustic Valve / Pipe?

Dont bother. it just makes the induction sounds louder. A total waste of time to be honest. if you want to se what its like without removing everything just open up your air box, remove the filter and using a screwdriver;leaver up the plastic catch that holds the acoustic valve tube into the...

    Buying a 172 Cup?

There isn't much room under the bonnet and in order to get to the belts; lots of bits need to be taken off and it is a big job plus if it goes wrong then it's going to be expensive to fix! I have neither the tools or the confidence to do the belts (or the time really (8hs!)). Before i got the...

    Buying a 172 Cup?

Its just the usual wear and tear really. The exhaust falls off because they are so thin, its not a big deal really. Its also cheaper to get a stainless one than a Renault one so it won't happen again if (when!) it does. Other bits are easy to replace yourself. In fact the only job that i...

    Removing inlet manifold

This is a bit of a b**ch to move. On the cup it isn't to bad as there isn't any AC in the way. You need a 16mm spanner / socket. if you can't get at it properly then you need to undo the engine mount on the left hand side and jack the engine up so you can get at it. Take your time with it and...
