When you say this, do you mean for example, if the problem is with the passenger airbag, i should get the airbag replaced, then i can reset the light?
Will the elm327 cable be good for reading and clearing airbag lights on the clio?

I want to start getting a bit more technical with cars, including my own clio, and wanted to get some advice from you fellas......
I was wondering what sort of hardware i will need to get to be able to do diagnostics on my clio, and other cars. I want it for stuff like reading codes...
i had sent it off to airbagreset.com some time ago to clear the crash data, however i installed my seat belt buckle thingy after i cleared the crash data, would that make a difference?
Ive got a 2004 clio, which had the passenger side seat airbag deployed when i bought it.
ive replaced the seat, and the seatbelt buckle thing, and the lights still there, had it reset at airbagreset.com and still no good (i put the module back in before i replaced the seat belt buckle though)...
Ok ive removed the dash etc, and played about wida wires dat go into the back of the speedo and its a no result :(
Ive also now realised that when lights on the tachmeter turn off, the rear lights also turn off (but not the headlights)

Im not desperate at all to sell it, i just wanted to get a rough idea on it. The damages to the car were absolutely minimal, i can never understand ina million years why it was cat c! lol
It had one bump about 23cm in diameter on the rear drivers side tailgate...
