I cannot speak for the other two drivers but I usually don't brake in the corners at all, and no left foot braking for sure. I try too brake hard during a short amount of time and not drag the brakes.

Thanks but I will pass. We tried CL pads and they also lasted well but made the same result to the discs. I run CL brakes on my trackday Opel Speedster and love them though :)
I can not swear they are warped but they start to pulsate during braking. What I can say though is that there are deep grooves caused by the pads. You can easily feel the with your finger nails and the entire disc surface is full of them making the surface very uneven.

I'm bumping this thread because we are really suffering from disc wear. We continued to run Ferodo DS1.11 pads because we like the feel and they last all 8 hours of racing. However, our discs are badly worn after 3 hours already, and strong pulses and vibrations during braking start to occur by...
It worked out fine.
1. You need to get the compensator off a Cup because the standard 172 doesn't have one. It can be attached to the existing bracket and the lever should not be connected to anything.
2. You can use the same brake line diameter for both the M10 and M12 outlets of the master...
Ok. Mine scrapes at the back too sometimes.
I was just wondering because I know some cars suffer when they are lowered too much, for example with increased bump steer.
BTW, is the car supposed to have some rake?

I have stripped the entire front axle on my 172 ph2 -02 and the only thing remaining is the steering rack. There is some play in the steering rack or column. If I wiggle the steering wheel from side to side you can hear a feint knock, from what appears to originate from the steering rack...
Thanks a lot for your input! I will look into it. We didn't have any problems this season but I guess it's just a matter of time because I read that a lot of people have problems with the PAS pump and fluid.
Does epas mean electric PAS? Does it exist for the Clio?
We have considered racing without PAS but we have never tried the Clio without it so we dont know if we will be able to make 8h on 3-4 drivers or if we will have to amputate our arms afterwards.
Regarding driving without the alternator...
Is there a smaller diameter crankshaft pulley to buy for the 172? In order to get the alternator and PAS pump rotating slower.
We are running 8h endurance races at full speed so it would be nice not to put that much stress on them.
I know it exists for BMW for example but I haven't found one...

My 172 ph2 won't ignite after standing in the garage for a few weeks. It ran perfectly fine before garaging it. Battery is fine and the engine cranks strongly and it continues to crank until I turn off the ignition so it's not the immobiliser that's causing it. I have no warning lights on...
