^^THIS,
same issues i've solved on 2 of my friends 182, usually the dirty plug is liked to the bad injector, very noticeable in colour difference, as you said 2 was coked up, i think thats prob the injector. If it gets bad enough the code reader will tell you the problem injector
i used a 3/4" ratch bar long extension. If you look over the top of the alternator while you pull the aux belt (with bumper off) you can see the tensioner move in and out, as you pull you have enough room to slide the bar in from the top between the head and alternator into the little gap. Then...
welcome mate, take a snoop around :D
Love the 350z, just dont have cash to sink into one, plus the ecomomy isn't much better than my camaro so not really usable as my daily
from first pic it looks likes its not centrally on the pulley, you can untension it and then reposition it but if youve paid for it doing it needs to be right. personally i'd want a new belt on now
Hi all,
just a couple of vids to show how bad this got, I knew the sports blew out a bit or water, but didnt know they were this bad at filling up
look at the water come out :O
Hi all,
Just wanted to double check before going ahead with this, is it a full dash out jobby to change the heater control buttons? Found a worded thread on here so should be able to do it, just didnt really want to strip full dash out if I dont have to
thanks
if it's the other car's fault you shouldn't have to pay a thing, you will NOT loose any no claims as these are on your policy and you haven't claimed on that. You insurance will go up and even though it is NOT your fault you have claimed at some point and so are now in a catagory of 'likely to...
it's an injector, had this issue in past, diag said cylinder 2 or whatever, one new injector battery off for half hour, back on and all ok.
you can also do the dash board error code check http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?109201-The-Clio-Mk2-fault-finding-dashboard-trick
you'll...
Focus on the number of engine revs 1st, more revs, then at a limit you'd want to change the oil...but only if it's degraded?
You need the speed and milage to see how long the engine has been on, to find absolute revolutions (ie revs , NOT revs/min)
(eg, if a car A did 1000 miles at 6000 rpm...
guys, check the injectors too, these will cause similar miss-fire issues, had experience with this and did the plugs and leads and pack and the problem was still there. Diag targeted the miss fire cylinder and I replaced this injector and all was good :D
nice looking car actually, shame it's in recession white as all other audi's, and bet it's a diesel too...and has stupid day time LED running lights.....
ooopppp...sorry may have gone on an audi rant... :D
eah I really like the RS, my first was last year a 172 cup which I sold to a friend only cause I got a good deal out of it...now I have the inferno 182 cup...I've done the bits I wanted to make it what I wanted.... although it didnt surprise me as much as the first car this is much better to...
my 172 did this, were all plug same colour or did you have a nice wet one ????
prob and injector, thats what was up with mine, although it wouldnt rev at all past 3-4 well
it not the lambda can go out on these and the car will run open loop only and hence run richer than is ideal
you can do a...
i remember mine doing this on my 172 more than the 182. I replace the gasket on both. The 182 still had a blow to I put about 5 mm thick spacers on the bolts to tighten the springs even further almost to the point of coil bind. After a week or so its 'worn' the gasket in more and doesnt blow now...
dunno if it help but on the un damaged pistons does there look to be any marks where the valves have hit the pistons? If so could they have set up the timing wrong (or pulleys were loose?) then as the valves hit the pistons one gives up first and drops in, hence causing the issue. Was the car...
plug mighthave worked a bit loose or due for a change, and as the evilgiraffe check all ht leads and coil pack area, damp in igintion is the cause by the sounds of it
