If the car sits in traffic or not moving with engine on for a while, when I pull away upto 3k rpm there is a slight misfire.
When I put my foot down the car performs normally.
Any one have any ideas what the issue could be?
This only seems to occur when sitting in traffic at the moment, but when I pull away its like its misfiring or very lumpy, once I get over 4k rpm it flattens out and drives perfectly fine.
Along with my ever annoying sticky idle issue, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on the mental...
Something else I've noticed when driving home tonight, if I'm just lightly using the throttle that is when the issue happens. If I have my foot down then idle returns to normal when slowing down or changing gear and won't stick at around 2-3k.
Don't suppose anyone else has any other ideas?

So after popping to see Clioste, we plugged it up and had no fault codes what so ever.
Noticed that the throttle cable wasnt fully tight so tightened it up and the pedal was very high but thought I'd give it a go, was fine for the first few miles, but once again got the idle got sticky at...
Have you taken the fuel rail off and disconnected it from the injectors and primed the engine to see if any fuel comes through?
If it doesn't might be worth looking into the fuel pump, check fuse for it possibly
Not coolant temp sensor, new one of those aswell with the last few months.
At the moment the cars idle seems to stick at around 2-2.5k rpm but I can blip the throttle and it will drop down to around 1k rpm.
Will need to see if I can get it on diagnostics without costing crazy money from a garage.

My ph1 172 has a lovely idle issue after cleaning the throttle body, it fluctuates between 1-3k rpm on idle sometimes, or if it wants to be a lovely car the idle will stick at around 3-3.5k rpm.
Thankfully I have a really nice Snap On dealer as a neighbour, so borrowed his Modis. Plugged it in...
I've got a PH1 172 and when steering at low speeds the AUX belt squeals/makes a noise and the steering gets heavy.
