Well theres a first for everything.

Some pikey stole my iPhone from the gym today so i grabbed my mates phone, downloaded find my iphone app and remotely wiped it.

Just checked on mobile me however and it shows remote wipe pending.

Does that mean that if its already been turned off and sim taken out it won't get wiped?

Yeah, I think so. But there's nothing stored on the sim anyway.

Someone will turn it on at some point.

As soon as it's on, it'll be wiped.

Did you not have a passcode on it anyway?

Also, keep checking, someone may be stupid enough to turn it on and you may find out where it is.
