The pic doesnt do the exhaust justice tbh, its only just been pushed right back and slightly cut into the bumper so its sat perfectly, I'll try and get another pic in a minute.
I'm not sure on the alloys myself, sometimes I think they look good other times I wanna change em. They're the standard Taurus ones which came on this model.
Whats the best affordable way to lower it?

That looks mint i love them 16V one i wanted one but had to settle for a 1.6 8V Si. Wheels should stay or get some ph1 172 wheels. Lowering on eibach sportline springs although there a bit expensive but very good.

i had this in my mark 1 it jumps bout 4 times when u pull of i was told it was mounts used 2 do it nearly every time.
i had 2 have my trackrod ends done bout a mont later and problem solved except the odd litle one witch i think is prob a litle wheel spin
anyway hope this is use to you.
if you want to check them pull them and see if there is play.

they were on my mates honda, and when he decided to sell up i bought them off him, cost me £200 plus some spigot rings to fit the renault centre bore. they are made by DGT which is based in essex and they import them. relatively heavy wheel but they will do and they look so much better than the original taurus wheels.

As said above, not keen on the exhaust.. i've got a stealth on mine.

Yeah they look quite cool on the 172 alloys but prefer turinis or ultralegs tbh. What mods have you all done to your 1.6s then? Need some ideas...
I wanna lower and colour code it and I was thinkin maybe some spacers to make the wheels sit out a bit more but not sure on costs or sizes??
Also what air filters or IK's have you all got on yours, mines standard atm but thinkin about upgrading....
