Hi,
Just in the market for a phase 1 172 or a phase 2 cup I got told the this was the place to come so any pointers on what to look out for when buying one of these cars would appreciated of if anyone has one of these cars for sale let me know. iam in Leeds west Yorkshire. Thanks chris.

Make sure the belts have been done by a renault specialist and not in jo blogs garage.

To do the belts on these cars requires the correct Renault locking tools.
If the belts need doing then it's a £600 ish job.
Apart from that a nice service history.

Plenty of info on here but as Scott says above the cambelt is the main cost/thing people have the most trouble with if not changed correctly
